EXPLOSIVES TRANSPORT PLANNING

Class 1 transport starts with precise classification.

We assess explosive substances and articles by UN number, hazard division (1.1–1.6), compatibility group, net explosive mass and packaging before accepting a movement.

Vehicle approval, security measures, routing, documentation and personnel requirements are checked against the actual shipment and countries of transit.

Military-use and civilian explosive cargo are both considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to the applicable legal and operational conditions.

ADR CLASS 1 HAZARD DIVISIONS

Six divisions. Shipment-specific requirements.

The hazard division and compatibility group determine the applicable transport conditions. Listing a division does not mean every UN entry can be accepted.

ADR CLASS 1 1.1

Mass explosion hazard

Substances and articles presenting a mass explosion hazard.

Transport conditions, compatibility and quantity limits are assessed for each UN entry.

SPECIALIZED VEHICLE CAPABILITY

EX/II & EX/III transport vehicles

Vehicle selection is based on the cargo classification, permitted quantities and requirements applicable to the complete transport unit.

Approved equipment for Class 1 transport

KAM Logistics operates tractors and trailers with documented ADR EX/II and EX/III designations. We assess the appropriate tractor and trailer combination for each shipment, taking account of its UN number, hazard division, compatibility group and net explosive mass.
